Home Entry Agreement
I agree to participate with HHPC in its effort to raise funds for children’s music education programs by keeping my home decorations lighted on Tuesday, Dec. 6th and Wednesday, Dec. 7th, for judging, and during the Cruise of Lights®, Dec. 15-19th and Dec. 22-23rd, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. In addition, I agree to return any award banner and house number received by me to the HHPC Office no later than January 15, 2017. I understand that the banners cost $100.00 and the numbers cost $7.00 each. If these items are not returned to the HHPC office, the cost of these items is deducted from the proceeds given to the children’s music education programs in our community. I will make every effort to return them.
Boat Entry Agreement
I agree to participate in the parade both Saturday night, December 10th, and Sunday night, December 11th, and to attend the MANDATORY SKIPPER’S meeting on Thursday, December 8th, at 7 p.m. at the HH YACHT CLUB, 3821 WARNER AVE., HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA 92649. In addition, I agree to return any award banner and all (3) numbers received by me to the HHPC Office no later than January 15, 2017. I agree to hold the Huntington Harbour Philharmonic Committee, its officers and committee members free of all liability of any nature for accident or injury to myself or any boat or real property. I understand that the banners cost $100.00 and the numbers cost $7.00 each. If these items are not returned to the HHPC office, the cost of these items is deducted from the proceeds given to the children’s music education programs in our community. I will make every effort to return them.

Participation Guide

Until Oct. 1

  • Choose your theme
  • Schedule boat maintenance (Schedule your mechanic to check out your boat to make sure all systems are working, especially the head, generator, steering and engines.)
  • Sketch out decorations for boat
  • Contact your helpers, get commitments
  • Contact your guests, send "save the date" invite

Oct. 1

  • Meet with your key "helper" to plan the lights & decorations, man hours needed

Oct. 15

  • Order supplies (LED lights, extension cords, zip ties, plywood, paint, decorations)
  • If applicable, book the Captain/Skipper who will be driving your boat

Nov. 1

  • Book/find a workspace (garage/warehouse) where you will work on decorations
  • Send out invitations to guests who will ride with you on the boat

Nov. 15

  • Contact helpers and schedule "decorating time"
  • Verify all boat maintenance is complete, and test all systems of the boat
  • Verify planned light wattage for decorations does not exceed generator limit

Nov. 26 & 27 – Decoration Weekend One

Dec. 3 & 4 – Decoration Weekend Two

Dec. 7

  • Final deadline to submit entry form
  • Attend skipper's meeting at HHYC and get entry number

Dec. 5–9

  • Final decoration days
  • Get final RSVPs from boat passengers

Dec. 9

  • Take a "shake down" cruise in the harbour to test lights

Dec. 10

  • Make any final decorating touch-ups and final fuel & maintenance check
  • Parade line-up starts at 4:30pm

Dec. 11

  • Go to HHPC Brunch at HHYC and pick up your award!
  • Parade line-up starts at 4:30pm
