 First of all, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to serve as the 48th Grand Marshal of the Huntington Harbour Boat Parade. It is truly a great honor to be chosen to lead this spectacular holiday celebration. Both the opportunity to serve, as well as the opportunity to participate, are fleeting things which cannot be taken lightly. This time will never come again. The long tradition of the Boat Parade in our Harbour has been made possible by a long line of distinguished volunteers and Captains who worked to celebrate the Joy of Life with the enthusiasm of youth in this festive display of music, lights and boats. It is in keeping with the memory of those who have gone before, that I now call on YOU to SEIZE THE DAY…and come together in this over the top embrace of the season. We have this precious time now to carry on this tradition . The Parade demonstrates with wild abandon, our enthusiasm and love of life. It is our common Harbour Heritage to celebrate the season in this fashion. As each generation takes its place in the unbroken line of Parade boats going back 48 YEARS… join us… in the biggest two day event in Huntington Harbour History. Do it now ..this 2010. As Grand Marshal, I encourage everyone to please decorate as never before, the amazing homes in our community.On these perfect placid waters I’m calling all Boats and Captains to consider this 2010 season as a limited opportunity to Cowboy Up for our Harbour. Loud and Proud this Round-up heads into the Sunset of Harbour history, Saturday and Sunday Dec. 11th and 12th. WAGONS-HO! Please join me in raising your glass and toasting the GREAT 48 YEARS of our Huntington Harbour Boat Parade that this 2010 season represents. You’ve been dealt …the here and now ..so play your hand. AS for me I’m … all in …for this HUNTINGTON HARBOUR HOEDOWN… to be One to remember. So get your boots on and saddle up ‘cause this in one wagon train you wild party people won’t want to miss!
